Message by Raven to Nathan -- April 10th 1891

After receiving a letter from their brother-in-law, and after the contents of said letter have set in, Cassius thinks about how to tell their companions. The first person they know they have to tell is the most sensible person they know...perhaps not 'sensible', but he is the most level-headed friend that they have.

Bundling-up they go to street-level to rent a bat or a raven., deciding to send Saunder to the other person they know that they have to tell. What they find is an almost 'proper' coloured raven, the cloud of soot dust making Cassius cough. Still they send it off to a Mr. Nathan Attford's residence--Almost chuckling at the thought of him dealing with the soot covered bird.

 

"I have something I must tell you." They pause at how to make it sound less dire. "Please bring something to go with tea.---Cassius"

 

Shaking, Cassius climbs back up to their shack and waits for some sort of reply.

Message by Bat to Narciso -- April 10th 1891

After sending a raven off to Nathan, and after climbing back to their shack, Cassius sits down with their stomach churning. "How do I tell Narciso?" Burying their head in their hands. They know this will be the most difficult, not wanting him to think they are leaving for good-abandoning him-and also worrying how he will react. They wake their little brown bat up from his nap and hold him in their hands. "I have an important message for you to send" a worried look as they pat between his ears.

"I have something to tell you. Maybe two things. Please come up to my roost?---Cass 'your little bird'"

They are too anxious to care if Nathan and Narciso arrive at the same time, perhaps it will be easier? Fully clothed, Cassius flops back into their bed and waits for either person to reply.
